🌿 ACTIVATE GREAT SOUTHERN 2025  

LAKE NEAR 🌿 

PLANT, DANCE, REGENERATE 

Activate Tree Planting is pumped to invite you to our third Great Southern Tree Planting Festival at Anderson Springs Farm located in Tenterden which is in the Oyster Harbour Catchment, Menang Boodja. We will be planting 12000 seedlings as a part of a wetland rehabilitation project. The project is supported by Green Skills Inc and Carbon Positive.  

This will be a wonderful weekend of tree planting, music, dancing, tasty food and connection. 12,000 seedlings ready to put their roots down as we get our boots down. We are calling on our friends to come and plant them with us. There will be around 80 people.

Camping, food, music and festivities will based a 5 minutes drive away at the Nunijup Hall next to lake Nunijup. Lunch, snacks and our mobile music trailer will all be onsite at the property during Saturday and Sunday. We are asking for you all to Arrive on Friday at the Nunnijup Hall between 3-6pm. 

Our last 2 projects have been really successful at Goodies Farm in 2023 and at Kaysanne and Clayton's conservation property Last year. With thanks to the connections built by Basil and Green skills we have connected with this amazing property this year. This entire project is volunteer run, we have an epic Acitivate Great Southern Team who have been working hard to create this opportunity for us all to restore country. YOU are a critical element of our Activate Ecosystem. 

🌿 PARTICIPARTY 🌿

Everyone at activate is involved in getting the work done together. Upon arrival you will be grouped to help contribute to the work in the kitchen, planting team and other areas that have been known at past Activates as 'Community Jobs'. 

🌿 𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝘼 𝙁𝙊𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙏 🌿

We will be planting out a mixture of biodiverse endemic species. This proposed planting project will provide habitat for threatened wildlife and serve as an important corridor. It is already home to an abundance of wildlife benefiting from the permanent water.   

Saturday and Sunday will be PLANTING DAYS - all groovers in the paddock - all hands on tools - planting tools provided. Sunday closing Ceremony will be around lunchtime. 

🌿 𝙒𝙀 𝙒𝙄𝙇𝙇 𝘽𝙀 𝘿𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙄𝙉𝙂! 🌿

You can be sure that Activate's famous farm-field mobile DJs will be making an appearance deep-south-style! Bringing the high-vibe tunes to elevate your day of planting and keep you grooving while you restore the land. 💃 🕺 🎶 🪕 🪘🎷 We will be taking your fave grooving song request at ticket check-out. 

Evenings at HQ will be a treat for your ears - live music, pumping DJs and camp-fire sing-alongs! Open Mic was hit last year, so have a think of a story/ song/ skit/ joke you'd like to share. 

We have some incredibly talented artists confirmed including-THE NOMADICS, Lemon Myrtle, Echo Omen, Primordial Notes, Noni and Friends and DJ Honey Drop (more detailed program released later). The entertainment vibe will be fireside and voice encouraged. 

🌿 FOOOOOD  🌿

Our cook's have got you covered; all your meals for the entire weekend are provided! 🍲🥗🥣🥘

They will be nourishing us all with freshly made, healthy, and delicious meals made with care and love. Dietary requirements will be catered for (ticket check-out). The absolute best way to end a day of planting together is to gather for a wholesome communal meal together.

BYO snacks, water bottle and plate/bowl/ cutlery. 

🌿 𝙍𝙀𝙇𝘼𝙓 & 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙉𝙀𝘾𝙏 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙈𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙔 🌿

Dance with new friends, yarn around the campfire, stretch out under the stars, breathe in the fresh country air and celebrate your weekend achievements. Activate is a community of incredible humans and we are stoked for you to be joining us this July. 🏕🌲🌳🌲  

🌿PRACTICALITIES 🌿

One ticket covers you for all three days of the festival and includes

✮ Live music + DJs at the hall and in the paddock

✮ Morning movement

✮ Kids activities

✮ All meals including tea and coffee 

✮ We are blessed to have the use of the Nunijup Hall on the edge of the Lake. Cooking and Activities will be set up the hall. It will provide an important dry space in the event of wet weather. 

✮ Spacious campsite. Bring a tent or swag or you are welcome to stay in your vehicle/van/ caravan. note-no shower facilities this year

✮ Treeplanting equipment (no back bending required) and planting induction 

✮ This is a drug and alcohol free event

✮ Please do not bring your dog or other animals to this event

✮ We ask that you stay for the entire length of the event (Fri arvo - Sunday arvo)

✮ Program of the weekend, Packing List and more details will be sent out closer to the event

Ticket terms and conditions can be accessed here. 

Please note that refunds can only be given up to two week prior to the event, so we have time to give it a new home!This will ensure we have enough planters for the 12000 seedlings. If you cancel at the last minute or swap with someone, please send us an email.
