Active Lifestyles - Canoeing OR High Ropes Gold Coast
Event description
RSL Queensland has selected Active Lifestyles events throughout Queensland to provide opportunities for veterans, current serving Defence members, partners, and children to take part in activities while connecting with fellow members of the Defence family.
In this activity you will have the option of completing a 10m high ropes course or canoeing in the beautiful Gold Coast Waters. As both activities will run concurrently, you may register for 1 activity only.
Following both activities, all participants are invited to connect over lunch.
Requirements
- This activity is open to Veterans, current serving Defence members, their partners, and children aged 8 years or older.
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times
- Must have a good level of swimming ability, if completing the canoeing activity.
What to bring for High Ropes:
- Activewear or clothes you can exercise in (long pants preferred, no dresses/skirts or short shorts)
- enclosed shoes (mandatory)
- water bottle, sunscreen.
What to bring for Canoeing:
- Activewear or clothes you can exercise in (something that you don’t mind getting wet)
- water bottle, sunscreen
- towel
- spare dry clothes
- thongs/wet shoes.
Cost: Free
Please note that prior to the event, you will be required to complete an RSL QLD waiver. This will be emailed to you after registration. All attendees will be unable to participate without completing the waiver.
