Event description
RSL Queensland has selected Active Lifestyles events throughout Queensland to provide opportunities for veterans, current serving Defence members, partners, and children to take part in activities while connecting with fellow members of the Defence family.
We are excited to once again be offering the Mary Valley Rattler Train Tour, which sold out last year. Departing from the Historic Gympie Station you will travel 40km onboard the restored C17 steam train. While travelling through to Amamoor the onboard guides will provide you with a wealth of historical knowledge about the trains and the region.
Arriving in Amamoor, you will then have the opportunity to visit the train engine viewing area and explore the town, before reboarding and returning to Gympie Station. On return to the station, a light lunch will be provided.
Requirements
- This activity is open to current and ex-serving Defence Force members, their partners, and children.
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Please note that prior to the event, you will be required to complete an RSL QLD waiver. This will be emailed to you after registration. All attendees will be unable to participate without completing the waiver.
