Brushin' Up: Actors & Directors Skills Development Workshops

Welcome to Under the Rug's Actor & Director Skills Development Workshops!

Tailored for actors and directors looking to collaborate on modern and classic texts. Designed as a low-pressure, hands-on environment, each fortnightly session pairs participants up to explore unfamiliar play excerpts, helping actors refine audition techniques and build showreel material while allowing directors to practice quick-turnaround staging. Beyond developing craft and confidence, these sessions offer a supportive space to connect with fellow working-class creatives and build lasting industry relationships.
