Wit's the Rug: Open Mic

Got a 5-minute script, a 2-minute song, 10 minutes of stand-up, or a 20-minute play in progress? Love seeing work in development and supporting Glasgow's Grassroots community?

Wit’s the Rug? is Under the Rug’s low-pressure, supportive open mic night for artists across all disciplines to test out fresh ideas in front of a warm, encouraging audience.

Comics, dancers, poets, musicians, actors, and writers – all are welcome to take the floor.

For audiences, it’s a brilliant, low-cost chance to get a sneak peek at what’s currently buzzing in Glasgow’s grassroots creative scene before it hits the big stages. Come grab a drink, cheer on local makers, and help shape new Scottish work in its earliest stages!
