Senior Mid Coast high school students with a keen interest in Mathematics are invited to join Adam Spencer for an engaging Maths workshop at Taree Universities Campus. Explore how far you can take Maths beyond the classroom and have a laugh along the way. This is a unique opportunity to have Adam here in our community engaging with students.

Adam Spencer has been entertaining and inspiring educators, parents and kids with his joy for all things mathematical for decades. Students will be engaged by Adam’s high level of energy and thought-provoking conversation. His TED Talk on ‘Monster Prime Numbers’ has clocked over 2 million views and is regularly voted one of the top 10 best TED maths and science talks.  

This event is sponsored by the Taree Business Chamber as an investment into our community for local students. The hands-on experiences and engaging activities plus cool Mathematics facts will ensure your students takeaway the joy of mathematics and the importance of maths and STEM education.

Places are limited and bookings are essential. First in, best dressed.

Please note:

Schools may book 12-15 students per session, with at least one supervising teacher attending.
Select Workshop 1 (9:30-11:30) OR Workshop 2 (12:00-2:00).
Please order a ticket per student, ie. if you are bringing 12 students, select 12 tickets in your order.
Students should be in Year 10, 11 or 12 and have a keen interest in Maths, students will be invited to engage in a variety of activities throughout the workshop.
If you are keen to bring more than 12 (for example you have an Maths class you would like to bring), contact Gemma and I will see if there is space.
