Event description

BioTechNZ and the Institute for Innovation in Biotechnology (IIB) invite you to the fourth event in our 2025 networking series, exploring the future of learning, innovation, and institutional relevance.

We’re pleased to welcome Hema Sridhar, Director of Programmes and Government Relations at Koi Tū: The Centre for Informed Futures, as our keynote speaker.

With a background in optics and a career spent driving transformational change across universities and learning ecosystems, Hema brings a powerful perspective on the evolution of education. In her talk, Adapting or Declining: The New Era of Learning and Innovation, she’ll explore how digital transformation, student-led learning, and closer industry alignment are reshaping how we prepare for the future of work.

As traditional education models face disruption, Hema will offer insights on how institutions, educators, and policymakers can lead through change—rather than be left behind.
