Adaptive Organisations - Agile Perth
Event description
Andy is a seasoned Business Agility Coach with a career that spans multiple facets of the technology and project management landscape.
In his upcoming session, Andy will present his unique interpretation of Team Topologies, focusing on the human aspects of team design and the dynamics of team interactions. He will also share a compelling case study that demonstrates how he applied these principles to transform the operations of a global finance client. He will demonstrate how his approach to agility considers the nuances of each organisation’s dynamics and behaviours, creating a practical and effective roadmap for meaningful change.
He began his career as a software engineer, and his pragmatic mindset led him to create his own lightweight project management framework called "Pragmatic Prince."In 2005, Andy ventured into the world of Agile by leading his first Scrum team. This experience proved transformative as he realised the power of the Agile Manifesto in achieving technology outcomes. Since then, he has been on a mission to challenge the status quo within organisations and foster high-performing teams.
Having moved to Western Australia in 2010, Andy has worked extensively with global resource companies like BHP, Rio Tinto, South32, and Woodside, as well as various state government departments. His expertise lies in facilitating mindset-shifting workshops, providing training, and engaging with senior leaders to drive sustainable change. He knows that sustainable change demands a deep understanding of an organisation’s culture and the art of introducing new ideas in ways that resonate with its members.
