Adelaide Hula Hoop Workshops with Miss Olive Dip

Join Miss Olive Dip in Adelaide on March 29th for an afternoon of hula hooping workshops.

There are two to choose from: Hoop Choreography & Hooplesque 

Hoop Dance Choreography
4pm-5:15pm

Sassy, dynamic hoop dance; this class is designed for hoopers who want to learn dynamic movement with their hoops, dancy transitions, musicality, and upgrade their hula hoop skill vocabulary.

You will learn a sassy, cheeky and flowy choreography that blends dance and hula-hoop tricks. Under Olive’s guidance, you’ll explore how to add personality, confidence, sass and your own forms of expression into the choreography.

Providing trick variations for all hoop levels, you can expect to learn:

• Escalators

• Folds

• Wraps

• Isolations

• Framing

• Poses

• Transitions 

This class is open to beginner to advanced hula hoopers and is perfect for hoopers of all levels who are looking to add more dynamic movement into their flow, incorporate dance styles into their tricks or simply learn a fun choreography!

Hoop-lesque: Burlesque and Hula Hooping

5:30pm-7pm

Curious about how we can fuse burlesque themes into our hula hooping? Perhaps you’re looking to tap into your sensuality and expression with your hoop?
Then this is for you!

An introduction to the world of sensual and burlesque-inspired movement, in this workshop, you will acquire skills of sensuality with your hoop and learn how to combine classic burlesque skills with your hoop.

Under Olive’s guidance,you will explore the power of stillness, presence and breath in movement, classic bumps, grinds and shimmies, tapping into sassy as a form of sexy, as well as a classic burlesque glove peel.

Expect to leave this workshop with a new perspective on what you can do with a hula hoop and a cheeky choreography to show your friends and lovers.

This workshop is open-level and is suitable for absolute beginners to advanced hoopers.
