Adelaide Roundtable Dinner: The Invisible Load of Leadership
Description
Adelaide Roundtable Dinner: The Invisible Load of Leadership
A dinner conversation exploring conscious leadership in complex times
What does it take to lead with clarity, energy and purpose when there are so many things competing for our attention?
Business Women Australia invites you to a Roundtable Dinner Conversation exploring The Invisible Load of Leadership— the many dimensions of responsibility, relationships, decisions, expectations and aspirations that we navigate as women and as leaders.
Over a delicious meal in the beautiful private dining room at Little Ela, join a wonderful group of women for a very different kind of professional gathering.
This is not a panel discussion, presentation, or superficial networking event.
It is a facilitated, peer-led conversation where there is space for every voice and an opportunity to learn from the lived experience and collective wisdom around the table.
Inviting a Courageous Conversation
Courage is one of the key virtues of leadership. Together we will explore how we lead in today’s busy and complex world, sharing stories, experiences, and insights into the practices that help us sustain our impact with greater clarity, energy, and focus.
The conversation will be guided by BWA’s Conscious Communication practices: speaking from our own experience, listening deeply, resisting the urge to fix or advise, respecting confidentiality and holding space for different perspectives.
There are no perfect answers and no expectation to have everything figured out.
Instead, enjoy this safe space with peers, for thoughtful reflection, curiosity, and authentic conversation. Discover the wisdom that exists within ourselves and around the table.
Your Roundtable Host, Dianna Dawson, will provide some meaningful insights and facilitate the conversation, guiding the holding of space throughout the evening. You will be invited to participate in any way you feel called, perhaps sharing a personal story or leadership insight.
Enjoy a meaningful conversation and experience a new way of being as we explore what conscious leadership looks and feels like.
Who is this for?
Business Women Australia roundtable conversations bring together women from across sectors, professions and industries, including:
C-suite and senior executives
founders and business owners
board directors and women aspiring to board roles
professional services and advisory leaders
human-centred and purpose-led leaders
women navigating the intersection of leadership, career, community and life
emerging leaders and curious women
You don’t need a particular title to contribute. What matters is a willingness to participate with curiosity, generosity and openness.
Conscious Leadership in Practice
At Business Women Australia, we believe leadership development doesn’t only happen through acquiring more knowledge. It also happens when we create space to reflect, listen, become more self-aware and learn from one another.
Our Conscious Leader gatherings are an opportunity to practise this together.
Come for the conversation. Stay for the connection.
Leave with new perspectives, meaningful relationships and perhaps one small insight that changes the way you lead.
Places are intentionally limited to preserve the intimacy, trust and quality of the roundtable conversation.
Meet Dianna Dawson
Dianna Dawson is an executive leader, mindset and leadership coach with extensive experience across CEO, executive and national leadership roles within human services and purpose-driven organisations.
Throughout her career, she has led large-scale organisational growth, transformation and change, while also navigating significant personal challenges that called on her to rebuild, refocus and, ultimately, learn to lead herself first.
At her core, she is a community builder. She believes in the power of people coming together — to collaborate, support one another and show up as their best selves. She champions spaces where everyone belongs, and where sharing, inclusion and connection are not afterthoughts, but the foundation for meaningful success.
