This event is sponsored by the Melbourne Disability Institute and the Melbourne Social Equity Institute and is aimed at Graduate and Early Career Researchers affiliated with the University of Melbourne. Please use your University email address to register.
We hope you'll join us for a discussion about the opportunities and challenges of co-produced research and how research methods have evolved over time. We will discuss how all stakeholders, including experts by experience and researchers, can work together to conceptualise, design, deliver and disseminate research to better enhance understanding and knowledge.
This conversation will be led by visiting scholar, Professor Katherine Runswick-Cole from the University of Sheffield, UK. Professor Runswick-Cole will share her experience and some practical tips and principles when embarking on community-engaged, inclusive and impactful research.
This session will be moderated and hosted by Associate Professor Sue Olney from the School of Social and Political Sciences and a reflection will be offered by Panos Karanikolas, Research Officer from the Melbourne Social Equity Institute.

More about Professor Katherine Runswick-Cole
Professor Runswick-Cole is the Chair of Education at The School of Education, University of Sheffield, UK. She has
extensive experience of working alongside children, young people and adults with disability, their families and
allies in research and has published widely in the areas of critical disability studies; disabled children's
childhood studies and inclusive education.
