In this event, Dr Adrienne Edwards will share some tales about her work as a curator, scholar and writer. The conversation will range across Edwards' experiences at some of the United States's most important art platforms, as she has shaped discourse on the complex space between art and performance, politics and art history. This is a rare opportunity to hear from one of the foremost art thinkers in the United States today.
Dr Adrienne Edwards is the Engell Speyer Family Senior Curator and Associate Director of Curatorial Programs at the Whitney Museum of American Art, where she has been a curator since 2018. From 2021–2024 she also served as the Whitney’s Director of Curatorial Affairs, co-curated Whitney Biennial 2022: Quiet as It’s Kept and enhanced the strength and vitality of the Museum's performance program. She holds a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from New York University.Powered by
