DAYTIME SEWING GROUP FOR ADULTS

This group is for adults wanting to expand their sewing skills - from beginners wanting to get started, to those who want to take on more advanced projects with the guidance of a teacher and a supportive social class space!

Class structure:

This is a studio style class where everyone works on their own independent projects at their own level. You can either:

  • BYO project - Bring along a pattern and fabric to work on during class time and I'll help you get a great result
  • try your hand at patchwork - it's relaxing, creative and a low pressure way to explore different sewing skills and techniques
  • mending and alterations - bring in garments and learn how to repair them and make them fit better!

Who are art classes suitable for?

  • This class is suitable for adults and older teenagers
  • Absolute beginners through to those with intermediate sewing skills.
  • People seeking a warm, welcoming class to meet new people and enjoy a low pressure creative environment.

 What do students need to bring?

  • A sewing machine in good, safe working order - plus foot pedal and power cord - we also have some available to borrow if you need
  • scissors and pins
  • black and white thread (or a colour to match your project)

Do I need to pay extra for materials or are there any other costs?

  • There is no extra cost with us
  • you are welcome to BYO fabric and pattern if you wish to sew garments, or access our free fabric remnants collection for smaller projects.

How do I pay?

  • You can pay via our website using a credit card or after pay
  • Use the INVOICE button If you prefer to use  Internet banking transfer / EFTPOS / gift Voucher / Funding 

Fees:

$36 per week or $32 concession
$ 130 for a 4 week bundle
$ 256 per tem
