FLING's Adult Community Engagement Programs are a welcoming space to try something new, or return to your body in movement.
Classes are facilitated by FLING's team of professional dance artists and open to all abilities, ages and levels of experience.

Join Creative Director Beth Lane for 'Adult Jazz & Grooves'.

WHAT TO EXPECT?:

Adult Jazz & Grooves will move through a short heating, lengthening and strengthening warm up, designed to build cardio, movement articulation and body isolation required in Jazz styles.

The rest of class will be spent developing a short piece of choreography accessible for anyone who wants to see out the winter chill channeling their inner Beyonce, Madonna, choose your pop icon!

WHO IS IT FOR?:

Adults of all ages and ability who enjoy pop classics and are looking for a mid week shake up
Adults who want to shake out their inhibitions and prep a few moves for the summer season!

WHO IS LEADING?:

Our Creative Director Beth Lane is a passionate mover, an experienced facilitator, an anatomy nerd and an accomplished dance artist, rehearsal director and creator.

However, did you know she started out her dance journey in jazz? In true independent artist fashion, she's dabbled in commercial performing and choreography in her career - a not so secret passion.
Hiding under this contemporary dancer is a jazz dancer just waiting to bust back out the pop classics.

So, come and strike a pose?

WHAT TO WEAR?:

Wear something you are comfortable to move in.
We will dance in socks or bare feet. We prefer no shoes on our custom dance floor - however if you need to wear them due to injury, we asked they are clean, white soled sneakers.

Class content can be adjusted with support from our teachers to suit your mobility needs.
If you have any accessibility requirements or previous injuries you would like to discuss before joining us, don't hesitate to get in touch.

*This class is best experienced in a series, however casual attendance is available.
