Event description

During this 4-week program you will have creative fun learning the fundamentals of hand building pottery.

Sessions are focused on relaxing and having fun through creative expression, not creating perfect pottery - although that may happen :).

This is an ideal opportunity to take time to chill out and learn a new skill.

Each week for the first 3 weeks we will work on a new technique/project (or if you prefer you may choose to make your own creation).  Then week 4 will be dedicated to glazing your beautiful creations.

What is supplied: Instruction, clay, tools to use, a variety of glazes, 2 x firing per piece, tea and coffee.

The last 10-15 minutes of class is used for wiping down your workstation and cleaning any tools you have used.

What to bring: A water bottle, please wear closed in shoes and old clothes or bring an apron - clay can get messy and glazes may stain.

Please note:

Pottery takes time. Each piece needs time to dry before it can be fired in the kiln. After the first firing you will then glaze your pieces in week 4. They will then be fired in the kiln again. If you are unable to complete your glazing during class time, a simple glaze may be applied for you by your host. You will be notified when your completed items are ready to collect approx. 7-10 days after the last class.

This is an adult's workshop however teens 14 and over are welcome if accompanied by a paying parent or guardian.

Tickets are not refundable but may be transferred to another person for the same program.

In the unlikely event that the organiser has to cancel you will however receive a full refund minus the Humanitix booking fee.
