Advance Air Mobility at Protector Aluminium: where local innovation takes off
Event description
Hey team!
This one has been a long time coming on a couple of fronts.
Firstly - the new Protector Aluminium site is up and just about ready to start producing parts.
For those that haven't come across Protector before - they make ALL of the pool fences for Bunnings, nation wide. It's a 20k sqm facility with 10k under roof, and will be packed with new kit (including some automation) to increase their productivity.
This by itself is a bloody good reason to come along.
Secondly - our eVTOL student team is now 2 years old and we've made some significant progress that we'd like to show you all.
We're looking at a flight demo of the small scale vehicle, a VR experience where you can interact with the aircraft, motor test rigs for measuring thrust generated, and a whole range of aircraft design and manufacturing progress (including heaps of carbon fibre composites) - all driven by the students.
Thirdly - the SC Biosphere is launching a range of events, and this event is the 1st one to kick things off. The Biosphere is a key driver in our region of green transportation, youth engagement, and innovation - tying in extremely well to the eVTOL initiative.
So, a very unique event, and certainly one not to be missed.
Cheers!
