Advanced Cupping and Gua Sha Therapy

During this one day practical workshop we will build further on the fundamental skills of using cupping and Gua Sha therapy to explore the treatment of specific musculoskeletal and internal health disorders. Utilising an integration of East Asian Medicine and Anatomy we will explore the approach of treating disorders from a local and systemic perspective. During this workshop foundational knowledge of East Asian Medicine and the relation of Jing Jin (sinew channels) with muscular anatomy chains will be presented to enhance an integrated understanding of the body.

* For attendance of this workshop experience in the application of these techniques is required (eg previous foundational workshop or clinical experience)

Presenter: Jason Chong

Jason is a Traditional East Asian Medicine Physician and the owner and principal practitioner at Dantian Health, providing consultations for Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine and Japanese Acupuncture in Melbourne, Australia.

He is a qualified acupuncture physician, Classical Chinese herbal medicine clinician, Shiatsu practitioner and Tuina therapist, Oriental therapies educator and director at the Australian Shiatsu College.

Jason's qualifications include:

• Bachelors degree in Health Science (Chinese Medicine) from Southern School of Natural Therapies
• Diploma in Chinese Remedial Massage (AnMo TuiNa) from Southern School of Natural Therapies
• Diploma in Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies from Australian Shiatsu College
• Diplomate in Canonical Chinese Medicine from Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine
• Certificate Traditional Japanese Moxibustion Therapy
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Cancellation: If it is deemed that a seminar is not viable, it may be postponed or cancelled by ATMS.
