Advanced Musical Improv Techniques
Looking to take your musical improv to the next level? Feel like you make similar musical and lyrical choices and want to spice things up? Just want to push yourself and expand your skillset?
Join us for this new four-week class, where we’ll explore techniques for advanced musical improvisers (completion of a musical improv training program or two-years of consistent musical improv performance experience required).
In this class, you’ll learn new tools for expanding your musicality by exploring concepts like syncopation, layering and call and response. You’ll also learn new song structures to add to your toolbelt, including patter songs, split screen songs and rounds. And you’ll learn some techniques for introducing figurative language like metaphor and simile to your lyrics.
