Advanced Performance Technique: Breath, Body, and Gaze

Hello my fellow worn and ragged live performers. What's that smell? It's the stench of that rotted old brain of yours. Ditch it! And let's get into that beautiful, beautiful body. If you're looking for a new way to build characters, breathe life into your stage or screen acting, or want to learn a building block for devising your own work then come on already! We'll enlist the help of our breath, body, and gaze so we no longer have to work so hard as a performer. In this class, we'll develop and sharpen the tools that give you the freedom from over-thinking. And how to apply them in your own work, no matter what it is, weirdo. :)

About the Instructor:

Jenson Titus is a queer, latinx clown in Los Angeles. A graduate of the Pig Iron School in Philadelphia, Jenson has spent the past decade collaborating and creating his own work with the oh so beautiful clown community in LA. He has an extensive training background in Lecoq, Stanislavski, and Clown. His main goal as a teacher is to make sure you understand the work and can apply it directly to what you're making on your own. He wants you to leave feeling empowered. And stupid. So stupid and dumb.
