Advanced Workshop for Experienced Performers with Elf Lyons

A sensory laboratory for artists ready to stretch. This workshop explores how the senses can radically shift the clown and bouffon's world. Designed to deepen physical awareness, presence, and complicité. Focus on mime, bouffon and clowning when making multi-disciplinary work. 

Taught by award winning comedian and theatre-maker ELF LYONS.

Elf Lyons is an award-winning performer - working in the realms of comedy, clowning, bouffon, stand-up, verbatim theatre and live art. With over ten years of experience working as a professional comic, Elf spends her months touring internationally with her solo shows and directing and teaching artists of all creative disciplines around the world. She loves making work that stretches the relationship between comedy, theatre and performance art.

• Practical steps on how to create material and perform it

• A clear analysis of what makes you funny

• A new way of seeing and creating work

Please note there are kitchen facilities and a cafe onsite for lunch.

Requirements:

This workshop is aimed at experienced performers looking to up-skill. The workshop is physical but all exercises can be adapted around the needs of the students.

Workshop participants must be over 18 years of age.

Dates/Times:

• Saturday 14th March: 10.00am - 2.00pm

• Sunday 15th March: 10.00am - 2.00pm

Please note this workshop takes place over 2 days, each day will include a short break for lunch.
