Introducing Adventure Seekers Homeschool Sports Day!

Children aged 4–14 will be allocated a colour (red, blue, yellow or green) and kept with their family (all the same colourl with fun awards for sportsmanship, team spirit and best dressed then divided into colour groups to work through activities on the day.

Come wearing your team colour — red, blue, yellow or green — and bring your water, snacks, hat and sunscreen.

This is not a drop-off event, so every child must have a responsible adult stay on site and supervise them throughout the day.

Most importantly, come ready to join in, cheer each other on and make wonderful memories!

Adventure Awaits! ✨️

FAQs

  • Who can attend?

This event is for homeschooling families with children aged 4–12 years. Siblings are welcome. A responsible adult must remain with their children at all times. This is NOT a drop and go event.

  • Is this a drop off event?

No. Every child must have a responsible adult aged 18 or over who remains onsite and supervises them throughout the event. Parents and accompanying adults remain responsible for their children at all times.

  • What activities will there be?

Expect running races, egg-and-spoon races using ping-pong balls, three-legged races, tug of war, water-balloon passing, team water-transfer challenges, hula-hooping and obstacle courses!

  • Will children be grouped by age?

Yes. Children will be divided into suitable age groups wherever practicable to encourage safe, fair and enjoyable participation.

  • Do children need to be sporty?

Absolutely not! This day is about participation, trying something new, teamwork, encouragement and having fun. All abilities are welcome, and children can opt out of activities they don't feel comfortable doing.

  • What should we wear?

Come dressed in your favourite team colour: red, blue, yellow or green! Comfortable clothes, secure footwear, a hat and sunscreen are recommended.

  • What should we bring?

Please bring your own drinking water, snacks, sunscreen and hats. A towel and a change of clothes may also be handy for the water activities.

  • Will there be prizes?

There will be fun recognition awards for things like best sportsmanship, best dressed and team spirit. The focus is on celebrating participation, effort and encouragement rather than winning.

  • Can parents participate or volunteer?

Yes, we'd love your help! Volunteers may assist with setting up, packing away, supervising activity stations, managing start lines and other tasks. Please contact the organiser ahead of time if you're available. Volunteer duties will be coordinated so children remain appropriately supervised.

  • Will photographs be taken?

Families must respect everyone's privacy. Do not post identifiable images of another person's child online without explicit permission from their parent or legal guardian. Non-identifying images, such as photos taken from behind or with faces blurred, are encouraged where permission has not been obtained. Attendance implies that the above will be applicable with regards to photographic evidence of homeschool learning for registration purposes.

  • What happens if the weather forecast is not ideal?

Outdoor activities may be adjusted, postponed or cancelled depending on weather and safety conditions. Any changes will be communicated to registered families.

  • Refund policy.

Refunds are permitted up to seven days prior to the event.

  • Who is responsible for the children?

Parents and accompanying responsible adults remain responsible for their children's supervision, safety, behaviour and belongings at all times. Organisers and volunteers coordinate activities but do not provide individual childcare.

  • What is the spirit of the day?

Community, kindness, good sportsmanship, teamwork and FUN! We're homeschoolers, so we're doing things our own way — come ready to encourage one another, make connections and enjoy a relaxed day together.
