Join us for the Aerotropolis Conference on Wednesday 19 November 2025. This year Business Western Sydney, the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham), and the Bradfield Development Authority are working together to bring this conference to life.
Western Sydney is gearing up for one of the most transformative milestones in Australia’s history. December officially marks one year until the opening of the new airport. The countdown is ON.
This year’s conference is headlined by The Hon. Catherine King MP, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.
We’ll also hear from Josh Murray, Secretary, Transport for NSW, Jennifer Westacott AC, Chair of the Bradfield Development Authority, Ken Morrison, Chief Executive of the Bradfield Development Authority, and Simon Hickey, Chief Executive Officer, Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI).
We'll also have a very special virtual keynote from Dr John Kasarda PhD, the 'father' of the Aerotropolis concept, and one of the original supporters of the airport.
More speakers are to be announced...
Next year, Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport will open its doors, marking a generational shift in how Sydney connects to the world. Alongside it, Bradfield City is rising: Australia's first new city in 100 years, a place of boundless opportunity built from the ground up to drive innovation, advanced industries, and highly skilled jobs in Western Sydney.
The question for business is clear: How do we seize this moment – and what comes next?
Across the globe, major cities like London, Tokyo and New York have built entire economic ecosystems around multiple airports. Western Sydney now faces a similar inflection point. Can we develop a bold, long-term vision for tourism, trade and economic growth centred on this globally connected region?
What does it mean to connect our multicultural population to the world, not just through travel, but through jobs, exports, education and innovation?
This one-day conference will explore what the new airport and Bradfield City Centre mean for business, and how organisations can prepare now to leverage this once-in-a-generation transformation.
