Trad Anchor Building Workshop
Event description
TRAD ANCHOR BUILDING WORKSHOP
Transitioning from indoor to outdoor climbing can be a little daunting, especially when it comes to rope & Trad skills. Affinity Initiative’s Trad anchor building workshop focuses on fostering safe spaces & mentorship for women-of-colour (WOC) to learn how to build Trad anchors. This workshop will educate on essential skills and provide an opportunity for participants to connect with others from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In this workshop, participants will learn how to build Trad climbing anchors, play around with active & passive protection, learn essential climbing knots and set up Trad anchors in a supervised learning environment.
This workshop prioritises *women-of-colour (WOC) who are interested to learn about Trad climbing anchors for single-pitch climbs. No prior experience necessary.
