The Hows and Whys of Arms Free Chest Harnesses:

Class Description:
Hello, hello lovely humans, pets, and critters of all kinds.We invite you all to come join Knot_too_knotty and Playswithfire611 as they Nerd out about arms-free chest harnesses. Knotty and Fire will spend the afternoon with you all sharing their discoveries and knowledge with arms-free chest harnesses. This class will consist of both lecture and hands on learning sprinkled throughout. We will begin class with the theory of arms-free chest harnesses, the anatomy of harnesses and body, as well the thought process behind building your own harness. We will be taking multiple breaks from theory and get our hands on rope experimenting and trying what is being discussed. We will be tying multiple basic patterns to compare and contrast how the harnesses react under load. This is a class best suited for late beginners, and above. This is not a great first rope class but you do not need to be a shibawi master to follow along. The one twue way, means fun for all.

Pre-requisites and Supplies Needed:

Firm understanding of Consent, Fire and Knotty recommend the F.R.I.E.S. method.
Knowledge of forward tension vs. reverse tension
Knowledge of a single column as well as in-line single column
It is not required as we will discuss and show each in class but it is highly recommended to have a general understanding of the three main hitches used in rope play (half-hitch, munter-hitch, and cow hitch.)

Suitable rope for play on humans. If you are suspending or placing a full load, we highly suggest rated up-lines. We recommend bringing at least 5 full lengths of rope but we encourage attendees to use as little or as much as they wish.

About the Presenters:
Knot_Too_Knotty (she/her) is a bratty playful rope bottom. She has been active in the community and bottoming for rope for about 2 years. She loves all types of rope but her favorite is fun circus rope with her partner Playswithfire611. She wants to be able to share her experiences and knowledge as a rope bottom with other bottoms and help them grow on their rope journey. She looks forward to growing more in rope and the community.

Playswithfire611 (He/Him) is a bratty rope top who has been playing and learning rope for 5 years. He has been in and out of the kink community for 10 years, starting as a burner and slowly merging full time into the kink community. He loves all things rope and is always learning and growing his skills by attending local and regional rope cons. Along with his partner Knot_too_knotty friends smoothcoug and pure-chaos have started an Indy based rope collective named SOAR_ come visit and Share Our Aerial Rope.

Play Party

Any play (within LNK venue guidelines) is welcome at this party! Party rules can be reviewed at louisvillenk.com/rules. At this party, the venue will be set up with rope in mind. Extra floor play space and hardpoints will be set up, though the usual furniture (crosses, benches, etc) will be available too. Have a question at the party or need some help making the space work for your scene? Talk to an event team member, identifiable by their bright yellow lanyards and safety shears!

Our venue offers:

play furniture (A frame style rigs, athletic mats, spanking benches, St. Andrews style crosses, etc)
luggage racks to store personal items and equipment
social area
snack bar and Keurig machine (food and beverage can also be brought in)
after-care/quiet area
outdoor smoking area
single occupancy bathroom
Free and ample paved parking within a couple minutes walk of the space. Handicapped parking is available directly beside the space. Please check the parking map in the ticket confirmation for detailed parking instructions!

Is this your first time? Don't worry, we'll be gentle! An event team member will give you a welcome orientation tour to show you with the space layout and highlight some of the most important rules and etiquette!

Consent: Be sure to negotiate BEFORE touching someone and/or someone's belongings AND before having a rope experience with someone, even at classes. If you're not sure how to navigate consent and negotiations, please ask SnappedGinger or event staff (identifiable by the yellow lanyards).
RACK Space: Interact at your own risk. If you have questions or concerns at the event, please talk to SnappedGinger or event staff.
Photos: Photos are allowed as long as EVERYONE in the photo consents to being in the photo. This includes people in the background! Blurring them out later is NOT a solution. The photo should not be taken if any part of anyone's body appears in the frame without their consent.
Consequences: Violating these rules may result in a time-out or permanent ban.
