Please join us for the launch of new research, Celebrating Diversity, Fostering Unity: The Social Impact of the Africultures Festival, reporting on the social impact of the 2023 Africultures Festival – Australia’s premier African festival.
The research, conducted jointly by the Africultures Festival organising committee and researchers at the University of Technology Business School, analyses data collected from 2023 festival attendees, stallholders, and performers. The results illustrate how the festival promotes a sense of community among individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and enhances the capacity and social capital of stallholders and performers. These findings provide valuable insights into the festival's societal contributions.
