After Hours Guided Tour with SHIFT’s Curator

Join urban art expert and SHIFT: Urban Art Takeover curator Dr Reuben Woods for a tour of the exhibition.

Reuben’s PhD examined urban art in Ōtautahi Christchurch in the wake of the devastating 2010 and 2011 earthquakes. He is creative director of Watch This Space, a charitable trust established to explore, document and celebrate urban art across Ōtautahi and Aotearoa New Zealand.

As curator of SHIFT, Reuben came up with the concept for the exhibition, established suitable spaces in the Museum and found artists to create in them. He says SHIFT was “a dream come true to work in such a special location with such a diverse array of creatives.”

All proceeds from SHIFT support the Museum's redevelopment.
