Event description

NATURE ART CLUB

Join us for our new after school art program.

Set within the natural surrounds of the Wittunga Botanic Gardens, the Nature Art Club provides a calm transition from school, into evening home life.

Under the guidance of our experienced art teacher, Emily Johns, your child will be supported to connect with nature and find their inner artist in fun and creative ways.

Sessions will not be overly structured, instead offering a flexible, creative and autonomous environment where your child can freely explore their interests and express their ideas.

The Nature Art Club program will move through the seasons, engaging your child in learning about South Australia’s unique plant and animal species. We will nurture new skills and foster a sense of pride, with all budding artists set to produce a portfolio of unique art pieces by the end of the school term, creating lasting memories along the way.

Each session will commence with a grounding in nature, encouraging mindfulness and an appreciation of the wonders around us. We’ll then move into our art activity, before finishing with free play designed to nurture your child’s relationship with the natural world.

Parents are welcome to stay for the sessions, enjoy the surrounding gardens, or drop and go.

Who is Nature Art Club for?

Nature Art Club is designed for children aged 8-12 years.

When is Nature Art Club offered?

Nature Art Club will be held on Thursdays from 4-5.30pm. Term 1 sessions will commence in Week 4 (22 February) and conclude in Week 11 (11 April).

How much does Nature Art Club cost and what’s included?

The cost for Term 1 is $200 for eight sessions. All art materials will be supplied and your child will complete the term with a portfolio of art pieces to take home.
