After the Flood

After the Flood is a new Australian musical inspired by the ancient story of Noah and the Flood, reimagined through a contemporary Melbourne Jewish family. As an approaching storm forces them to confront their differences, the family must decide what they will hold on to, what they can let go of, and what they owe to one another.

At its heart, After the Flood is about mourning the world we have lost and searching for the glimmer of rainbow that might appear after the storm. It explores what we inherit from previous generations, the promises we choose to carry forward, and what it means to truly love someone when certainty falls away. Through an original score performed by a ten-piece live band, the show asks how we make space for something new without losing our connection to where we came from.
