A Funny Night in Portland ...In Boise
Event description
A Funny Night in Portland ...In Boise - Premiere Improvised Theater LIVE at The Linen Building.
On Friday, June 28th, 3 of Portland's most prestigious long-form improvisers perform in Downtown Boise! Betse Green, Bill Cernasky, and Nick Condon are long-time staples of the Portland Improv scene and well-known, beloved members of the nationwide improv community. With a combined over 60 years of experience, these 3 performers have appeared in some of the highest-regarded improv festivals across the U.S. and Europe! Nick, Betse, and Bill are all resident performers at Portland's Curious Comedy Theater, and on June 28th, they're bringing forms that make them true icons of the Pacific Northwest.
Nick Condon performs Solitaire - an improvised 1 man, 1 act musical! In the solo multi-character narrative Nick Condon uses audience suggestions to perform a fully improvised musical. Every character, every line of dialogue, and every note of every song is discovered in real-time with the audience. Condon deftly flows from character to character, scene to scene, and song, sometimes singing duets with himself, in this truly unique improvised comedy.
Betse Green and Bill Cernasky perform as B&B, where they focus on what they know best: relationships. In their Revolver format, an audience suggestion inspires a story from Bill & Betse's 29 years of marriage, told from their combined point of view. This story, in turn, inspires tightly integrated scenes in which they steal each other's characters after they have been established.
Musical accompaniment to be performed by Las Vegas-based musical improviser, Faustino Solis!
Opening the show is The U.S. Average with Matthew Melton, Jess Ellis, and Austin Von Johnson.
