Against the Protocols of the Civilised Body: Performance with Access Lab & Library

Join us for an afternoon of experimental practice in contemporary disability thinking. This one-off live performance with Access Lab & Library shares the creative outcomes of a day-long workshop which brings participants together as a temporary, access-focused collective. The performance expands on the possibilities of image and audio descriptions through collaboration and invites audiences to engage through sight, sound and/or movement.

This free performance will take place at the Terrace Room, Level 6 Sir Llew Edwards Building. Following the performance there will be free food and drink.

Access Lab & Library (ALL) was created in 2023 to develop and nurture disability-led and artist-led access in creative settings. They approach access as a temporary, collectively-held space, as an experimental field, and as a platform for generosity. Access Lab & Library is co-directed by Fayen d’Evie and Jon Tjhia.
