Event description

If you've ever tried to give up dairy, you know how hard it can be to give up cheese! But there are lots of reasons why non-dairy cheeses are a good option: whether you're vegan, sensitive to dairy, aware of your food miles, or are on a budget.

This class specifically focuses on vegan versions of your favourite aged cheeses, that is, cheeses with a rind, such as camembert, blue cheese and ashed brie. As well as learning how to make these vegan cheeses with Elodie, this class gives you a chance to taste the different cheeses and the flavours being
developed.

Vegan cheese IS something you can make yourself at home. The ingredients are quite simple, and the process is easy to follow along to. And once you've learnt how to, these are recipes you can make again and again - you'll always have a cheese stash ready when friends drop in!

This class is suitable for everyone! Not just vegans!

What will we cover?

In this lesson you will:

  • Be introduced to the nuts and bolts of vegan cheese making

  • Learn how to make 'aged' vegan cheeses, that taste and feel like cheeses with a rind, such as camembert, blue cheese and ashed brie

  • Get recipes for all cheeses presented so you can make them at home

  • Get suggestions on how to put together a beautiful vegan cheese board
