I'm happy to announce that the next ANY Meeting will be taking place on Thursday the 23rd of September from 1-3pm at Foyer Oxford in Leederville.

This meeting will be a special session run by YACWA Grants Officer Mayma Awaida who will be providing an overview of the Youth Sector Grants Scheme supported by Lotterywest, which has emerged as part of a sector-wide response to the issues facing young people in the wake of COVID-19.

This funding opportunity has between $2,000 - $10,000 (from a pool of $350,000) available to support the overall well-being of young people through adding value to existing projects, leading to larger impact. The program focuses on building the resilience and capacity of youth services, with a priority on increasing their organisational capacity, reinvigorating interrupted programs, deepening youth engagement and improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes for young people (aged 10 - 25 years) in Western Australia.

In recognition that experience with grant writing can be inaccessible to overburdened and underfunded services, Mayma will be running through an information session to make sure that the grant writing process is inclusive and accessible for all those who wish to apply.

The intention of the information sessions is to facilitate a collaborative learning environment, while attempting to provide attendees with an opportunity to learn a little bit more about the grant writing process and to discuss where the grant's resources would best be directed,

If you are new to grant writing, have a project that is looking for a funding opportunity like this, or would like to be more involved with what YACWA does, then this could be for you.
