Home School Chemistry Day
Year 7 Chemistry Course
Date: Monday 5th June 2023
Time: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Ages: Stage 4 – Years 7/8 - Ages 11 to 14
Location: 33 Wycombe Road Terrigal
Cost: $60 per student

STUDENT ONLY EVENT – Parents to drop off and pickup. There are no provisions for parents or guardians to stay.
SPECIAL NEEDS – If your child has special needs, please contact me via email jacob@makesciencefun.com.au PRIOR to purchasing a ticket and we will discuss what arrangements can be put in place.
AGE REQUIREMENTS – This event is strictly for students aged 11 to 14.
TICKETS – Once a ticket has been purchased, Make Science Fun Pty Ltd does not offer any refunds (unless for some reason the day is cancelled). If your child cannot make the day, please feel free to swap, give or sell your ticket through your own communication networks. Make Science Fun Pty Ltd does not keep a waiting list and does not get involved in ticketing once tickets have been purchased.
WHAT TO BRING – Pencil Case with pens, pencils, ruler etc.
All food and drink for themselves for the day (no peanuts, eggs or allergens)
INSURANCE - Make Science Fun Pty Ltd has full public liability insurance to cover Home School Science days.
CHILD SAFETY – Make Science Fun Pty Ltd follows strict child safety protocols. These include all Teachers having WWC checks and rules such as adults not being alone with students at any time.
SCHEDULE for the day
9:00 am - Arrival and welcomes – Please do not arrive before this time as Jacob is often still completing last minute preparations for the day. If you arrive early, please park on road until 9:00am.
9:15 am – Chemistry Experiments
10:00 am – Second Breakfast
10:20 am - Chemistry Experiments
11:00 am – Recess
11:20 am - Chemistry Experiments
12:30 pm – Lunch / handball / chat / play
1:10 pm - Chemistry Experiments
2:00 pm – Afternoon Tea
2:15 pm - Chemistry Experiments
2:45 pm - Clean-up. All students are expected to assist in cleaning up the room. This involves packing away equipment, tables, chairs, sweeping, vacuuming etc.
3:00 pm - Pickup
Students will use a Tiny Science Lab equipment to ensure a full hands-on experience.
The intention for the day will be to continue working through the Year 7 Chemistry Course Booklet.
Our Science days are always stand-alone events and no previous attendance or knowledge is required.
