VWA AGM & Ceres Fair Wood guest presentation

We have a jampacked upcoming members meeting on Wednesday 29th October 2025 at 7.00 pm.

Chris Ennis from CERES Fair Wood  will be presenting on the sustainable sourcing of local quality timbers.

The Federal Government ABARES forecasts for 2030 have put the yield of public native hardwood sawlogs at around 1/6th of what it was in the 1990s.  
The end of native forest logging in VIC, WA and now much of NSW means woodworkers are turning to agroforestry and urban timber recovery for their timber.
CERES Fair Wood s purpose and mission is to help meet this demand working with agroforesters, urban land managers and small sawmillers.

Vic Wood Scholarship Recipient
We recently awarded the Vic Wood Scholarship to Ben Adams. Ben will join our meeting remotely to be presented with the scholarship and speak a little bit about his studio and what he will use the award for buyers.

We will also hold our Annual General Meeting after the presentation.
