The Every Woman
Event description
The Every Woman is a new collaborative contemporary dance work from choreographer Mara Glass.
This hour long dance work focuses on the stories of local women from various walks of life. It looks at what connects us, what makes us unique, and what separates us as a community of women.
From conducted interviews with four Illawarra women, the show explores memories from childhood, marriage, divorce, to a life-changing medical diagnosis. The Every Woman offers perspectives on how we can better support each other as women. It presents advice on healing and closure. It touches on what women truly value in their lives. But mostly, this show explores the rich, full-bodied, complicated, messy, visceral lives women lead.
