Event description

Central Hawke's Bay Agritourism – Exploring our opportunities networking evening.

The event follows last year’s successful agritourism workshop, exploring our opportunities, and is for anyone interested in agritourism within Central Hawke's Bay. This is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded people and become part of the local agritourism community.

We have some fabulous guest speakers who will discuss what makes a great product, how you can develop your agritourism offering and how to tell your story.

Dan Browne - Founder, owner and director of Indelible.

Dan is a dedicated filmmaker, story teller and owner of Indelible. Dan and his team help you tell emotionally charged stories to motivate behaviour and help you make your mark. Their approach combines smart strategy, bold creativity and expert production to create a unique story that connects with the people that matter to you. Dan has concepted, shot and directed documentaries and a diverse range of videos for hundreds of companies around New Zealand and abroad and will talk to us about the power of a story.  https://indelible.co.nz

Abbe Hoare – Owner and Head Grower at Mangamaire Sunflower Field

Abbe took a leap of faith on an idea that came out of nowhere and just wouldn’t go away. The idea involved planting Sunflowers in a roadside field on their farm, in hopes it would slow down speeding traffic and give the passing motorists some joy in their day. With three seasons under their belt, and over 6,000 visitors to their sunflowers within the 28-day flowering window, Abbe and her partner Emile, have made an amazing success of the idea that just wouldn’t go away ! Abbe’s story is as heartwarming as her sunflowers, you will enjoy hearing how she has turned challenges into opportunities and continually developed their products and business offerings.  https://www.sunflowerfield.co.nz

Bri Collin – Business Development Manager, PurePods

Bri lives in Dannevirke and is the Product Development Manager for PurePods. PurePods are eco-friendly glass cabins set in spectacular natural landscapes across New Zealand. The commercial concept allows you to diversify your income while benefitting from a 5-star brand that continues to invest in marketing, international relationships and customer experience. Bri will talk about what she looks for in a site, and what makes a great agritourism experience. www.purepods.com
