Greater Whitsunday AgTech Mastermind Workshop

📅 Thursday 7 August 2025 | 🕤 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
📍 Resources Centre of Excellence, Mackay
🎟️ Free event | Includes morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea

Let’s get practical about AgTech.

This hands-on workshop will bring together local producers, suppliers, service providers and industry leaders to unpack where AgTech makes the biggest difference in our region — and what’s holding us back from adopting it.

Whether it’s cutting costs, reducing emissions, or improving traceability, this isn’t just about shiny tech — it’s about smart decisions. We’re here to identify the AgTech development priorities that matter most for the future of agriculture in the Greater Whitsunday region.

Hear from:

🔹 Ben Martin, Owner of Marto's Mangoes. Discover his journey to AgTech adoption and how it has transformed his business!

🔹Fleur Anderson, who will unpack how the Department of Primary Industry’s Prosper 2050 plan will impact our region, what we stand to benefit and why AgTech is central to securing long-term prosperity.

🔹 Dr Chad Renando and Philippe Ceulen, leading ecosystem mapping experts, who will guide a practical process to turn insights into action. They'll also join our local AgTech Activators for a Q&A panel focused on local insight, barriers, and opportunities.

🔹 Meet our local AgTech Activators, our local champions who live and breathe agriculture and are helping to bridge the gap between everyday challenges and meaningful tech solutions in the Greater Whitsunday region.

On the day you’ll:

✅ Contribute to shaping regional AgTech priorities
✅ Participate in guided, interactive group activities (no long lectures here!)
✅ Learn from relatable case studies and on-the-ground insights
✅ Help inform upcoming ZeroIn deep-dive adoption workshops
✅ Connect with others working across ag, tech, and innovation

This isn't just a workshop - it's step one in a bigger regional AgTech adoption strategy.

Seats are limited — register now and be part of the shift.

Hosted by Greater Whitsunday AgTech Hub and proudly supported by the Queensland Government.
