About this event

In this session, learn how members of the Sydney Knowledge Hub community are harnessing AI to power innovation and efficiency in their startups. You will get the chance to hear from: 

• Brian Hay - Head of Product & Technology at Pioneera
• Thomas Marrec - Co-Founder at Found
• Peter Simpson-Young - Research Translation Manager at The University of Sydney

Each presentation will be followed by an open discussion, giving you the chance to ask questions and share your thoughts.

About Brian Hay - Pioneera

Brian Hay is the Head of Product & Technology at Pioneera, a company on a mission to be the global leader in measuring and improving workplace wellbeing and productivity. They combine AI and psychology to detect and mitigate lost wellbeing and productivity through their AI coaching product designed for employees and management. Brian has over 25 years of experience in information and communications technology (ICT), consulting and transformation, and is now helping further the development and application of vertical AI. 

About Thomas Marrec - Found

Thomas Marrec is the Co-Founder at Found, a platform that connects disability service providers with quality support workers and allied health professionals. They focus on making it easier to hire, train, and retain great staff, helping providers and workers deliver excellent support to people with disability. Thomas is a hands-on creative tech leader with over a decade of experience in software and product development, now using his skills to make a positive impact in the disability space. 

About Peter Simpson-Young - The University of Sydney

Peter Simpson-Young is the Research Translation Manager at the University of Sydney, developing initiatives and projects to increase commercialisation of the University's research. Peter is passionate about the HealthTech space, motivated by the opportunity to improve the effectiveness, accessibility, and affordability of healthcare. Prior to his current role, he joined Australia's leading telehealth service (Coviu) to help transition thousands of Australian healthcare practitioners into a new era of telehealth.

1. Ramps: enter the Merewether Building on Level 1 via the Butlin Ave car park as this path does not have stairs and leads to the lift. 
2. Lifts: The lift is located on the north corner of the building on Level 1 when entering via the Butlin Ave car park. The Sydney Knowledge Hub Reception is located on Level 2. 
3. Bathrooms: There is an accessible toilet located in the hallway leading from Reception. Follow the pink line on the floor.
