🎤 Rhetta Chappell – Data Scientist at Griffith University’s RIDL
Drawing on her background in anthropology, data science, storytelling, and design, Rhetta reimagines professional development for the public sector using AI to make learning coding, analytics, and data storytelling accessible and impactful. Her talk will reveal how creativity and technical expertise can combine to drive meaningful change in education and government, and why data science for social good is more than a mission, it’s a movement.

🎤Paulo Vinicius K. Borges – Head of AI R&D at Orica | Co-Founder at Aimebee.ai
Paulo is an internationally recognised expert in AI, robotics, and computer vision with over 20 years of experience spanning industry, academia, and research. He has held Principal Scientist roles and led AI and robotics projects with CSIRO, NASA, ETH Zurich, Orica and other globally recognised organisations. His work has been applied across the mining, environment, space, manufacturing, and education sectors. Paulo is currently the Head of R&D at Orica and co-founder of Aimebee.ai, a platform focused on AI education and training. His talk will explore recent AI applications in mining, space, and education, bridging deep research with real-world impact.
