In all the hype about AI we want to step back and answer the basics such as “What are the different forms of AI?” and “How can we solve problems with them?’.

Casey Orr, our favourite AWS Solutions Architect will present an introductory session to start the morning. We then split into two streams: a hands on Technical track on Building with Amazon Bedrock and LangChain (BYO laptop) led by Casey, and a Business track facilitated by Benji Pritchard.

Building with Amazon Bedrock and LangChain:
This workshop enables participants to build simple generative AI demo applications while learning key concepts. Labs include chatbots, retrieval-augmented generation, image generation, document summarisation, data extraction, streaming responses, and prompt engineering. User interfaces are built using Streamlit. The labs are designed for builders with no previous data science experience. To run this workshop, you'll need access to an AWS account with Bedrock activated.

AI Round Table:
Join us for an engaging round table discussion on how businesses are using AI. Share and learn from each others real-world experiences, including successes, challenges, and ethical considerations. This facilitated session offers a unique opportunity to gain insights, exchange ideas, and explore AI in a collaborative setting.
