Event description

Join us for the most practical AI event in NZ for directors, owners and operational leaders of early childhood centres.

Building on our panel discussion at the ECC Conference 2025, we’ll be taking a deeper look at how AI tools can be used to help your centre develop and achieve your strategic goals.

If you're looking to understand how to use today's AI tools to run your business more effectively, then you're in luck. The content is relevant for both privately-owned and community-based centres.

Our Speaker Lineup:

  • Before diving into the AI rabbit-hole, how often do you sit back and think about your business? How do you separate the high-level thinking from daily management? In this session, Mark Banicevich will give you a brief overview about the difference between working in the business, and working on the business – planning, risk management, and overseeing management and operations.

  • Jamie Green, founder of Tutaki, will cover where and how boards and governance are not optimal, highlighting areas where traditional practices fall short. Jamie will then explain how AI is revolutionising board operations by enhancing decision-making processes and improving efficiency.  This session promises to provide attendees with a clear understanding of how AI can optimize board functions and governance.

  • Oscar McGuire, AI specialist at Law Cyborg, will provide you with a clear understanding of how AI can be applied to support centres and the opportunities this brings. He will also discuss the risks and limitations that you need to be aware of before adopting this new technology to your centre’s strategic direction. You’ll feel more prepared and confident to introduce AI technology after this session.

This event will conclude with a short panel discussion, led by ECC Chief Executive Simon Laube, and all attendees will have a chance to ask questions to our speakers.

You’ll also have the opportunity to network with other attendees, light refreshments provided.
