RFCSNR is connecting farmers in the Tamworth Region with a practical, plain-English session on using AI tools in everyday farming and farm business - no technical background needed, and no prior experience required.
We'll look at how AI can take the grunt work out of running your farm with high-value, beginner-friendly farm uses - from organising jobs and records to preparing for important decisions. You'll see it done live, then have a go yourself with guided prompts on your own phone or laptop.
We'll also cover the important bits people skip: What these tools get wrong, what you should never put into them, and how to check what comes back.

What participants should bring:
A smartphone, tablet or laptop, and an email address they can log into on the day. Anyone without a device is still very welcome - they'll be paired up for the hands-on section.

Dimity Smith is the Managing Director - Head of Events, Partnership & AI Delivery at GRO Events Group, a Tamworth-based event management, communications and PR agency working with rural and agricultural clients across Australia. Around 92% of GRO's clients are in agriculture, including AgriFutures Australia, the National Farmers' Federation, Scone Race Club and a range of regional community organisations. Dimity built her AI capability in her own business first, applying it to the day-to-day work of running GRO: client correspondence, reporting, funding applications, marketing and administration. The business advantage was immediate - and so was the conclusion that there is no reason rural, regional and farm businesses should be missing out on these advantages too. She now delivers practical, plain-English AI training to farmers, agribusinesses and regional communities across the country - from Esperance in Western Australia to Townsville in Queensland, and from sugar cane growers to dairy farmers at Scone in NSW - translating what she has learned into capability others can use straight away.
