Description

Most AI workshops teach you the tools. This one is about you.

If you feel a bit behind on AI, or worried it's going to make you look silly, or take your job, you're not alone. Most of us are just standing at the edge, waiting to feel ready. You've just never had a safe space to play with it. And that's what this is.

AI Play Lab is a small, low-pressure session to get you off the edge and playing. No jargon. No slides full of robots. Just you, your laptop or phone, and a few real things from your own life that we'll have a go at together.

You'll leave having actually done something, not just heard about it. And you'll find that getting started is a lot lighter than you feared.

What we will do

  • Bring your laptop or phone and one or two real projects/hobbies/ideas you might want to play around with using AI from your actual life. Nothing work-y required.

  • We'll play with them together, using simple prompts and a set of Play cards.

  • Small group, so there's room for your questions.

  • No experience needed. If you can send an email, you're ready.

  • You will also get a pre-workshop support/coaching call and a follow up call as well.

  • This is a first step, not the whole thing. If you're keen to go further afterwards, we'll point you to where to next, from top online content to an AI weekend with Stanley Henry. We open the door, you choose where to run.

  • We will be providing barista coffee and a yummy brain nurturing morning tea.

Ideas you might bring to work on

  • Finding a great fund raising idea for your local sports club

  • Getting your old recipe books and scribbled recipes into one tidy place

  • Planning your kid's birthday party without the last-minute panic

  • Setting up a little health coach that keeps you inspired

  • Planning a trip or a weekend away

  • Turning your loved ones memories into something to keep

  • Writing the tricky message you've been putting off

  • Setting up a website and marketing campaign to increase your AirBnB side hustle

Who is this for?

Capable people who are great at what they do but haven't found an easy way in to AI. Especially if you've been meaning to get around to it for a while.

You likely fit in the early or late majority on the AI Adoption curve. This is your chance to take action sooner rather than later!

Future sessions

Can't make this one? This is the pilot, and there will be more. Pop your name on the form at aiplay.co.nz and I'll let you know when the next one opens. We are scheduling workshops in Queenstown, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland, along with two specifically for 'age and stage', those under 25 years old or over 50 years old (as a gentle approximation!).
