What to Expect:
The conversation, led by AI expert and teacher Christopher Bush, will be structured around five key themes that draw on the learnings from Chris' global Churchill Fellowship and work with schools around Australia:
1. The New Reality in Our Classrooms
How AI is currently impacting the day-to-day work of students and teachers.
2. The Evolving World of Work
A clear-eyed look at how our workforce is being reshaped by technology.
3. The Purpose of School in the AI Age
In light of a changing world, this section facilitates a crucial conversation about core educational purpose in the age of AI.
4. Beyond 'Banning': A Practical Approach to Using AI Well
Drawing on successful international models to frame a healthy school culture around AI.
5. Our Shared Path Forward: Actionable Steps for Our School & Families
Providing clear, practical next steps for the Carey community to build a confident and prepared culture.
About the speaker
Chris Bush is a Churchill Fellow and educator with a decade of experience teaching and leading in Victorian secondary schools. His Churchill Fellowship took him across four continents to study how leading education systems are responding to AI. Chris works with Australian schools and educators, providing practical guidance on AI integration and helping communities navigate the profound questions about preparing students for an AI-transformed world.
