AI to enhance teaching and learning

Scotch College is hosting a hands-on workshop for educators to improve their use of AI chatbots as well as provoke thinking on the use of this technology in teaching and learning.

Dr Nick Jackson will facilitate the session and provide an easy-to-use framework he has developed with academics, and examples to takeaway. Nick will focus on improving prompting skills, pedagogy and share his insights at the forefront of AI Education.

Monday 26 June
1.30pm - 5.00pm (the session will commence at 2pm)
Purruna Centre - Collaborate Learning Area
Refreshments and afternoon tea provided

Bring you laptop and have a ChatGPT account (free or paid version) set up before the session.

All levels and sectors of education are welcome to attend. 

About Dr Nick Jackson

Dr Nicholas Jackson is the Leader of Digital Technologies at Scotch College. He has worked for over 20 years in education at universities and in schools. He has a passion for researching and working with teachers, students and technology. He focuses on learners being empowered to access education in the ways that they choose and have doors open to create new pathways into learning enhanced by technology. His specialties include pedagogy, educational technology, A.I. in education, e-learning, teaching, learning, online learning, coaching, training, empowering learners, communities of practice, ICT, computing, digital technologies, web design, design thinking, critical & creative thinking and all manner of digital innovation.
