PRESENTATION 

The presentation discusses current global developments in aviation like, climate impact mitigation, sustainability and future concepts for supersonic flight and electric flight. Further new concepts like drones and advanced air mobility are addressed. Also threats for the global aviation development are discussed as well as the new mainstream of AI. The talk resumes the current situation with an assessment of the mid term future to open a discussion.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Volker Gollnick is full Professor, founder and chair holder of the Institute of Air Transportation Systems at Hamburg University of Technology. His main research is on system of systems perspectives in aviation considering climate impact mitigation, new air transportation concepts and special operations. He is working very much interdisciplinary "seeing the bigger picture". Volker Gollnick is associate Fellow of AIAA and member of DGLR.
