AIDN is delighted to invite you to attend the AIDN SA July member event: Building Successful Defence and Space Partnerships – How to Navigate Open Source, IP & Commercial Licensing.

Defence and space innovation increasingly relies on collaboration between government, industry and research partners. This interactive panel session will explore how organisations can balance the benefits of open-source approaches and shared innovation with the need to protect critical intellectual property, maintain security and support commercial outcomes.
Key discussion points:

Understanding when open-source approaches can accelerate collaboration, innovation and capability development.
Managing IP ownership, rights and obligations in defence and space partnerships.
Developing IP strategies that balance access, protection and commercialisation opportunities.
Navigating IP risks, including security considerations, export controls and long-term technology value.
