From Humble Beginnings

EPE was founded by H.J. (John) Deetman. A well-known local businessman, John owned numerous service stations along the Canning Highway through East Fremantle.  After retiring, John saw a niche in the diesel engine industry. Using his local industry knowledge, he formed EPE in 1970, distributing global brands from his carport in East Fremantle.

John’s son Peter joined the company in 1975 and a year later EPE expanded to new premises in Myaree. John’s other son Bruce founded EPE’s manufacturing arm, Exhaust Fabricators (WA), in 1980.  Following four successful decades in Myaree, EPE opened a 5,000 square metre facility in Bibra Lake in late 2016.

Supplying and fabricating thousands of top-range diesel engine parts to numerous industries across Australia, EPE’s depot features a showroom, large warehouse and fabrication workshop.
