Mount Airlie is a grand mid-Victorian residence and one of the finest old homes in The Shoalhaven. Mount Airlie, circa 1868, has a notable individual design, derived from Classical and Regency influences. The house survives in excellent condition and is rich in original period detail including cedar and huon pine joinery, marble mantles and intricate plasterwork. The house has been recently renovated and was featured on an episode of Restoration Australia. The garden has several magnificent mature trees including Moreton Bay Figs and Hoop Pines. The fine rural setting sits comfotably in Miltons pastoral landscape.
Mount Airlie is National Trust listed and of State significance in the NSW Heritage Database.
