Self-paced learning on Pathways Awarua, with an assessment task that will be marked.

Please note! Participants have until 20 November 2022 to complete and submit the assessment task, to qualify for a valuable digital badge.

Topics covered

Registered participants examine four kōwae/modules of work related to the Māori concept of 'Ako' (Learning-Teaching). 

The four modules relate to:

  1. Ako – a contemporary learning-teaching methodology and educational practice referring to reciprocal relationships
  2. Āta Framework – refers to ‘āta’, a Māori value reconceptualised to develope respectful relationships between people
  3. Te Whare Tapa Whā - a contemporary cultural concept meaning the four dimensions of a person's well-being
  4. Tuakana-Teina - a Māori philosophy reconceptualised and referring to a relationship between an older and younger sibling

        Billing information

        We accept payments by card or by invoice. At checkout you will be able to choose your payment option. Invoices are raised by Massey University on behalf of Ako Aotearoa so please note that there will be a delay between registering for the event and receiving the invoice.  

        If you would like to pay by invoice, before registering, please find out from your finance team:

        • the billing address and the email address you would like the invoice sent to
        • whether or not you require a purchase number, if a purchase order number is required, please email accounts@ako.ac.nz after registering with the order number in the subject line.
